The Children Have Been Great!

What can I say? I am so blessed to have the best children in my care. Can they be anymore awesome and well behaved? I truly do not think so.

Today, Lilly, Oskar, Slipper and I need to get Slipper some food. I went to the cupboard this morning and her food was gone. We will make an adventure of walking to the vet. What a gorgeous day to do so. We will also play outside and see if we can teach Lilly to peddle a bike. She is so close. With a little practice, she should master the skill. Oskar is totally into building with Legos. He is amazing, however it can be like "pulling teeth" to try to get him focused on different activities. However, in the long run, he is always willing to cooperate.

The Rugrates hand fun over their Easter break. We went to a movie on Friday with the Krinke's (Mara, Max and Cole) followed by an Easter egg hunt and treats. It was a great way to spend the day and start the holiday weekend. Monday the Rugrats were tired but they set up the "tent", oh yes, it is definitely tent time again... We then ventured to Paradise Park with my sister Tammy and her children Maggie and Jake. Overall, it was a good day. Sylvia got a new baseball glove and ball for Easter. Later in the afternoon I had the pleasure of playing catch with her and Oskar. Sylvia did very well and caught about 50 percent of the balls thrown. Who knows, maybe a little league player is on the way!

Signing off for now,

The Rugrats.

Lot's of Changes

Over the past several months Farm Tree has gone through an enrollment change. Due to many different circumstances Evan, Phillip, Tobias, and Lexi have all left. Currently present are Oscar, Lilly, Katie, Reed, Sylvia, Lindsay and Henry. I am, however, once again enjoying the time I have with Oskar and Lilly during the day and Katie and Reed two afternoons a week. It's been fun to have more time for one on one and of course a little breathing room for me. LOL!

Lilly wants to spend all of her time outside. We recently got a taste of beautiful weather and Lilly got the "warm weather bug." Everyday she asks to go for a walk. She also spends her time talking and talking and talking. I can barely get a word in. She is engaging in puzzles, and is becoming quite the master at them. She also enjoys coloring and stories. Lilly also likes to play with Oskar. They get along great. She is also totally potty trained.

A few weeks back I had the opportunity to go to Oskar and Reed's preschool for their annual circus. Oskar was a firefighter clown. Reed was a "strong man." The program was very cute and I took some cute footage. I will be posting it soon. Oskar is developing beautifully. He is so smart and witty. He makes me use my brain every day. Thank god for that : )

Katie is a lover of music and dance and let's not forget webkinz. She, like Lilly, likes to talk to me. Is she really in kindergarten? I would have thought more along the lines of 6th grade? We enjoy watching the Mamma Mia movie together and listening and dancing to the music.

Reed is fairly quiet but smiles a lot and likes to spend his time playing with Oskar and building forts. He too likes the outdoors and hanging with the "big kids.'

All the children were off school this last Monday. It was a bit chilly but we spent the morning outside and went to three parks. We did artwork too and had a bit of a movie quiet time.

Easter is coming soon so I guess an Easter Egg hunt will be on the horizon. With any luck it will warm up a bit by then.

That's all for now.
